My fanfic will use Weak Hero aka. 약한영웅 as it’s original source. Recently I have been reading a lot of this manhwa on WEBTOON. I want to recreate one of the first scenes where the main protagonists meet for the first time. This manhwa focuses a lot on violence and bullying that occurs in Korean school systems, and the main characters first meet in a 5v5 fight. I want to rewrite this section to focus on the new characters coming together instead of the initial attack and response. I think it will be challenging for me to make new scenes while maintaining the character’s personalities. But I still hope I can highlight the aspects of these characters that appealed to me.

저는 2016년 드라마 시그널에 대해서 쓰는 것을 생각해요. 시그널은 환상이에요. 저는 사랑의 불시착에 대해서 쓰려다가 많은 사람들이 그 드라마에 대해서 쓸 것 같아요. 그리고 그 드라마의 마지막 에피소드가 아주 좋았어요. 윤세리과 리정혁은 행복했어요. 그래서 저는 그 드라마를 바꾸기 싶지 않았고 시그널을 선택했어요. 저는 아주 긴장해요! 저는 팬픽션을 써 번 적이 없어요!  저는 최선을 다 하겠어요! 

시그널은 저한테 시원섭섭한 기분이 줬어요. 시그널에서는 박해영의 형은 죽었으니까 저는 이 드라마를 바꾸고 싶었어요. 박해영과 박선우는 해피 엔딩을 받지 않았으니까 저는 그들에게 해피 엔딩을 주고 싶었어요. 제 생각에는 시그널의 주제가 가족과 가족의 사랑이에요. 그래서 제 싶은 엔딩은 비현실적이더라도 저는 해피 엔딩을 아주 좋아해서 만들게요. 그리고 이재한은 첫 번 째 연대표에서는 죽었어요. 그런데 이제한은 두 번 째 연대표에서는 사는데도 이제한은 차수현과 재회하지 않았어요. 가족과 사랑과 가망에 대해서 시그널의 주제이니까 차수현은 이재한과 다시 만나면 좋겠어요.  

팬픽션 작가로서 좋은 이야기를 만들고 싶은데 한국어를 잘 쓸 수 있을지 모르겠어요. 그리고 저는 오래 전에 시그널을 봐서 줄거리를 잘 기억할 수 있을지 모르겠어요. 제가 걱정한 편인데 이야기를 쓰기 재미있다고 생각해요. 모두가 제 이야기를 좋아했으면 좋겠어요!

1. BTS는 제가 가장 좋아하는 밴드이기 때문에 제 팬픽션의 토픽이에요. The genre will be drama with a bit of angst.
2. I want to recreate scenes from when BTS was still a new band (2013-2016). There’s definitely a lot of stress and anxiety when a new group debuts and wonders if they will make it in the music industry. I think it would be interesting to dig into that with this fanfiction
3. The main theme will be friendship and the struggles that must be overcome in order to maintain those friendships.
4. As a fanfiction writer, I am most concerned about how to phrase things naturally in Korean. I don’t want my fan fiction to sound unnatural and clunky. However, I am excited to explore more creative writing in Korean, as most of my past Korean writing has been purely academic.
